Aromatherapy bath benefits our residents
Residents at our care home in Exmouth have been able to once again enjoy all the benefits of a warm bath thanks to a brand new state of the art Transcare Bath. The highly versatile bath enables patients to experience the therapeutic benefits of massage which can help enhance blood circulation, reduce pain, improve posture and encourage an overall sense of well-being. With the added features of colour choices to promote feelings of well-being and increased vitality, the inclusion of aromatherapy is a wonderful way to treat symptoms of illnesses or just to help promote relaxation. The accompanying music features proves to be very soothing for all our clients whilst enjoying a warm relaxing bath. Another hugely beneficial feature of this product is the ability to semi recline the bath so that our residents are able to enjoy being semi-reclined whilst fully immersed neck deep in water.
Residents 100th Birthday Party
Here at Summerleaze we had a good reason to celebrate as one of our residents turned 100. To mark the special occasion for Joan Helliwell were family members and friends who enjoyed an afternoon tea with a large cake, beautiful flowers, and a rendition of Happy Birthday. Special Birthday wishes from Her Majesty the Queen were delivered by Exmouth’s deputy mayor Councillor Maddy Chapman.
Joan Helliwell originally from Birmingham had moved to Exmouth from the Chester area with her late husband in 2004 to be closer to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joan has been a resident of Summerleaze in Exmouth since 2012, prior to this she enjoyed an active lifestyle including several holidays with her son.
Happy Birthday Joan from all the staff at Summerleaze
